Through can-do leadership, a calm and measured demeanour, clear communication, powerful organisation, and deep technical and sequencing knowledge, Paddy got it built on time.

He maximised time efficiency by changing the structural frame from traditional concrete to a post-tensioned design, and recoordinating the services within the ceilings. He jumpformed the lift core, and introduced prefabricated bathroom pods and plumbing hubs.

By coming up with an alternative means of detailing the brickwork, masonry support and slab edges, he conferred buildability on the feature brick bands and corbels that wrapped three elevations at four different floors. And he overcame the nightmare logistics, which included limited offloading in a shared cul-de-sac and a neighbouring development, through just-in-time deliveries.

His professionalism, innovation and leadership were exemplary. Paddy handed over on time and to budget, along with a quality of finish that has been complimented by all stakeholders and driven an above-target building occupancy level for the client.
