Why is the Awards evening being postponed, and opened up for new entries?
Do you have an idea of when the Awards evening will take place next year?
The Awards evening is expected to take place in the Spring of 2024.
Will my entry be automatically transferred to CIOB Awards 2024?
Yes, we expect all applications to be transferred to the new date.
Will my entry need to be put through the paper sift (1st stage of judging) again?
We will need to conduct the paper sift stage again. This is because all candidates will have the chance to make changes to their applications if they choose to do so.
If the portal is opening up again for new entries, can I go in and amend or add to my existing entry?
Yes. We will transfer all applications back to ‘draft’ and once the portal is live, they should be accessible.
Do you have a new timeline for the entries, as I have colleagues who might now want to enter?
Deadline entry and Practical completion is until 31 August 2023.
What is the new judging timeline – eg: when am I likely to be called for my interview and when will I be contacted regarding a date for the project visit with the judges?
Judging will take place in September – November 2023.
The finalists are usually announced at the end of July, when are they likely to be announced now?
December 2023.
I am a non-member of CIOB. If I become a CMYA finalist, will I still be eligible to apply for Corporate membership, and if so, when?
Yes. This will be offered once the finalists are announced, around December 2023 time.
If I have another project that achieves practical completion within the new Awards timescales, will I be allowed to enter it alongside the one already entered?
