About the CIOB Team Award
Celebrating collaboration
Every year our members, fellows and finalists tell us the same thing…
‘It was a team effort’.
The CIOB Team Award celebrates the collaboration and combined efforts of groups of people working together to meet a combined goal.
Teams can be any group of 3 or more persons working within the built environment within a single organisational entity.

What we’re looking for
The judges will look for examples showing evidence of the following:
- a team vision aligned to business, corporate and project objectives
- strong leadership
- clearly defined roles
- contribution from all members
- effective communication within and beyond the team, including with external stakeholders
- mechanism for dealing with conflict
- demonstration of mutual trust, support and values
- evidence of equality, diversity and inclusion
- mentoring opportunities
- successful performance outcomes
- Other targeted objectives may include sales, new client development, innovation, quality, client satisfaction, Health & Safety, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), individual and collective professional development, continuous improvement

How do I nominate someone for the Team Award?
You can nominate someone for this award by completing the Application form.
Can I provide the Testimonial for the team I am nominating?
The Independent Testimonial must come from someone outside the team’s organisation with direct knowledge or experience of working with the nominated team.
